Wasn't able to take a lot of photos because it's dark inside. My camera was almost useless if not for the blurred shots. Anyway. So this was at the Dubai museum. It is so nice how they were able to present what was going on before the skyscrapers and lavish living in Dubai. The museum was like a market place where you'll see mannequins dressed as locals selling herbs, spices, jewelries, pots, cloths, etc. I have to admit, the way women dressed during those times never failed to freak me out. You'll see in the picture. Although yes, there are still local women who dress like that in the mall, but these mannequins are really freaky. Especially that they're accompanied by the darkness of the museum. And probably because they're always wearing black even in their face and they're always looking down as if they really can't reveal anything in their body, not even their eyes. But, quand meme, Dubai proved all the controversies about not having a culture wrong. They do have culture. It's just hiding behind these skyscrapers, malls, an economy that's rising faster than a whirlwind, and it's biggest everything (mall, tower, aquarium, etc.). One way I could say it's evident that they are cultured is through the way locals around the city dress up. It's just that Prada, Gucci, LV and other designers conceal them. Just a theory...
